Can't Drink it Nor Wear it

Actually, We’re F**ked

Doesn’t it feel like the world sometimes is going down the sh**ter?  A new play ACTUALLY, WE’RE F**KED, by Matt Williams echoes these sentiments that many Americans, especially NY’ers are feeling.

On May 9th, I saw this play and enjoyed it so much. In ACTUALLY, WE’RE F**KED, four millennials order take-out every Thursday, drink too much wine and argue over how to rescue the planet.  They know the world is a dumpster fire, and they’re the generation to fix it.  That is, until someone makes a life-changing announcement that challenges their beliefs, their relationships and whether babies should have their own Instagram accounts.

When the couples discover one couple is expecting a child, the sudden joy slowly turns their turns everyone’s relationship upside down. It The play uses modern day references and terms to really resonate  with the audience. This modern play is a reflection of the times from the latest health trends to politics to in vitro fertilization.

The cast of ACTUALLY, WE’RE F**KED features Mairin Lee (THE HEIRESS on Broadway), Keren Lugo (WATER BY THE SPOONFUL), Ben Rappaport (FIDDLER and PICNIC on Broadway) and Gabriel Sloyer (THE ASSEMBLED PARTIES on Broadway).
