Happy Hour Tasting With Proclamation Whiskey – March 2nd

On March 2nd, I was invited to Proclamation Whiskey’s intimate happy hour-style tasting at a private room in Grace’s, Manhattan.

Proclamation Blended Irish Whiskey, which was created to honor the history of the people behind the birth of the 1916 Proclamation. The event was hosted by Irish bartender Darragh Coate guiding the tasting where we will be able to taste through the expressions, as well as enjoy signature cocktails and traditional Irish food. 

When I got there, I enjoyed The Proclaimer cocktail with Proclamation Blended Irish Whiskey, lemon juice, Sugar cane syrup, Angostura Bitters ans soda water. It was delicious. Once everyone settled we tried the different expressions. Proclamation’s partner bartender is Darragh Coates, who guided the tasting and mixed up the cocktails. Then we also heard from Serena Huggard, their Trade Marketing Executive in the US, who shared more about the history of the brand.

We topped off the night with wings, burgers and, of course, whiskey engraving.
