Firesteed 2021 Oregon Pinot Noir
Sourced from several select sites in Oregon, Firesteed Pinot Noir is light ruby red in color with bright aromas of cherry and perfume on the nose, followed with a textural palate bursting with red fruits, earthy notes, and toast. Silky tannins complement the long lingering finish accompanied by hints of spice, vanilla, and French oak. Aging took place in a combination of small French oak barrels and larger stainless-steel tanks, with approximately 15% new French oak.
Founded in 1992 in Rickreall, Oregon, Firesteed ‘s mission has been to create wines that represent the finest expression of varietals suited to the distinctive growing regions in Oregon, most notably Pinot Noir. In addition to Pinot Noir, Firesteed is highly regarded for its Pinot Gris and Riesling and has recently released its first-ever series of AVA-specific Pinot Noirs from Dundee Hills and Yamhill Carlton, as well as a vineyard designate Pinot Noir. Firesteed also produces a repertoire of limited-production wines including a Rosé of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
Engine is a tribute to “Sage & Lemon”, an historical digestive remedy from Piedmont. The disruptive aesthetics celebrate the world of motors and cult myths of the 1980’s, the inspiration for Engine founder Paola Dalla Mora.
The balsamic scents of juniper stand out at the nose, completed by the fresh notes of leon peel and the intense scent of sage. Maintains an elegant floral
background with a slight bitterness from the sage leaves. The final balance is achieved thanks to the sweet notes of the licorice root and damascus rose petals.

However, instead of blending the grains before fermentation, or sourcing from the usual geographies, Whiskey JYPSI lived up to its name – sourcing individual aged whiskey components from various origins, then scientifically blending them to recreate the mash bill.
