I was recently invited to Eataly in the Flatiron District for ENGINE’s Launch party. The Italian gin with unmistakable and disruptive packaging, yes it looks like a fuel can!
Produced in Barbaresco, Italy, ENGINE incorporates 100% organic Italian botanicals, sourced all over the peninsula. With unmistakable packaging and an award-winning flavor profile, ENGINE is set on fueling the dream for gin lovers around the world.
Engine is a tribute to “Sage & Lemon”, a historical digestive remedy from Piedmont. The disruptive aesthetics celebrate the world of motors and cult myths of the 1980’s, the inspiration for Engine founder Paola Dalla Mora.
There was a vast selection of cocktails served including their signature Straight from the Cooler Martini, an Engine Negroni and my favorite their GT. All were shaken up by Engine’s new U.S. Brand Ambassador, Salvatore Tafuri. So what does it take like? The balsamic scents of juniper stand
out at the nose, completed by the fresh notes of lemon peel and the intense scent of sage.
And of course, what do you pair with Italian gin? Pasta, focaccia, Italian antipasti, arancini and more!
I really like the lemon in this gin. It’s definitely worth checking out!
