I was really excited to go to The Consulate NY Restaurant on April 26th, at their new Midtown Location of their grand opening since The Consulate on the Upper West Side was one of the last openings I went to before the pandemic and continues to strive and thrive.
The Midtown location is beautiful with a grand staircase and mosaic floor. I found this location much bigger but still with some of the beloved food.
I enjoyed delicious appetizers like spring rolls, tuna tartar in a cone, caprese screwers, mushroom flatbread and more.
The most exciting part of the night, for me at least, was the cocktails. I was so happy to taste the Oui Mademoiselle cocktail that had vodka, elderflower, blackberry puree, lemon, sparkling wine. It’s so good and worth every little drop. The Malalama was also delicious too, if you like spicy tequila, ancho ryes, blood orange, lime, spicy salt rim…
The Consulate is definitely worth checking out. Whether it is their UWS location or their Midtown location, the quality is there and you won’t be disappoint.
