San Marzano Talò Negroamaro 2017

San Marzano is a leading Puglian producer, creating wines with distinct varietal and regional characteristics; wines that are the true expression of the fruit, culture and terroir of southern Puglia. Located in the Primitivo di Manduria DOP, San Marzano was established in 1962, when 19 vine growers from San Marzano di San Giuseppe— whose families had farmed the land for generations—joined forces to maximize their efforts. Today, San Marzano maintains a philosophy of balancing age-old traditions with modern techniques and has 1,200 vine growers across 3,500+ acres of vineyards.

The Talò Negroamaro is 100% Negroamaro, a dark-skinned variety native to southern Italy. The Talò range, named after one of the founding families of San Marzano, offers an approachable, enjoyable introduction to the region’s wines.

This wine is intense and persistent aroma, with black currant, vanilla, and balsamic notes. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with soft, balanced tannins. The finish is long and pleasant.
