Do you have a lot of holiday parties coming up? I do. I’m always trying to find the right bottle to give to my hosts and hostesses. This year a bottle of Château Paret AOC Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux 2015 is a classy way to thank your hostess for their hard work.
Situated at Saint Genès de Castillon facing the Puisseguin appellation, Château Paret has been family-owned since
1887. In 1988 that Philippe Fauchéy took charge of the vineyard. Geographically well placed bordering the vineyards of Saint-Emilion, the vines have the advantage of being planted in three distinct terroirs that give the wine its special character.
With a bouquet of ripe plums, blackberries, dark cherries, violet, and vanilla cream notes. On the palate, the wine has a beautiful density with good acidity and firm tannin.
