Riedel, the brand credited with revolutionizing glassware for the enjoyment of wine, creating different shapes of wine glass that are truly suitable by type of wine. I visited the Riedel Showroom during Tabletop Market Week to see the beautiful new glasses from Reidel.
I couldn’t believe my eye on such beautiful wine glasses and vessels I was seeing as soon as I walked through the door. Once I was greeted, I leaned the history of the Riedel and how the brand was the first in history to recognize that the taste and aroma of a beverage is affected by the shape of the vessel from which it is consumed, and has been recognized for its revolutionary designs complementing alcoholic beverages and other drinks.
I was able to check out some of the timeless classics from Riedel, but also some new favorites including the Riedel Superleggero Machine-Made Collection. These glasses were reimagined from the 2015 hand-blown series, introducing the largest, thinnest, and lightest glasses from Riedel’s proprietary machine-made technology. Riedel’s precision comes to life in its consistent quality, producing glasses that are fine-tuned instruments, specifically shaped to enhance your wine enjoyment. The collection features eight varietal-specific glasses, including Bordeaux Grand Cru, Burgundy Grand Cru, Hermitage/Syrah, Champagne, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and a Spirits Glass. They were absolutely stunning.
The next time I need to find a certain type of wine glass, I certainly know who I will go to. Definitely an amazing gift for the holidays!
