With so many people spending more time than ever at home amidst the pandemic, I have a feel-good story with a local angle about how design tastes and trends differ from state to state.
The interior design experts at Modsy have created the Interior Design Index to truly discover how each state likes to make their house a home, from Modern to Rustic, and everything in between.
From the west coast to the east coast, every state has a diverse range of style choices and inspiration. An overwhelming amount of states chose “Farmhouse” decor as their top design style, followed by “Modern” decor. Though, only the state of New Mexico chose “Rustic” decor as their style of choice. And of course, states like Florida and Alaska prefer “Coastal” decor in their homes near the water.
