Dough Ball Whiskey launched nationally this May and to celebrate I joined a special mixology event with Liquid Labs on April 28 at LeGrande Lounge at Time Hotel.
Dough Ball is a new flavored whiskey from MPL Brands, one of the fastest growing beverage companies in the United States, that was launched in select markets last year, and expanded nationally this spring. Featuring notes of buttery vanilla, chocolate and caramel, smoothed out with hints of butterscotch, Dough Ball exudes flavors of warm cookie dough goodness in a delicious, 70-proof whiskey.
We were greeted with a cocktail that was the Dough Ball’s take on a white Russian and my guest and I sat and chatted for a bit before we had some bites. Then we were ready to mix!
During the event, we made 2 Dough Ball cocktails, sip them alongside a corresponding cookie from Schmackary’s and learn more about the brand. The Liquid Labs bartenders lead and gave us the best practices. The cocktail was the S’more cocktail which has the whiskey, chocolate syrup, chocolate syrup garnished with crushed graham crackers and toasted marshmallows.
Next up was one of my favorites, the Snickerdoodle, made with Dough Ball, vanilla vodka, cold brew and almond milk.
Everything was deeply delicious and I look forward to whipping these cocktails up for my next gathering. Dough Ball is available at Walmart, Kroger, Bevmo, Total Wine, Hy-Vee, and Safeway.
