| On October 4th, joined the Madeira Wine Experience at City Winery to discover the beauty and diversity of this wine named for an island, and island named for a wine. |
At the beginning of the night will enjoy a walk-around tasting featuring six Madeira producers, cocktails made with Madeira from award-winning mixologist Lynnette Marrero, and appetizers. In addition, there were 15-minute speed-tastings with sommelier and Portuguese wine advocate Bruno Almeida. This is a great opportunity to taste Madeira styles side-by-side to discover the variety of Madeiras.
Each wine was deeply delicious and we had lots of fun tasting them… and had amazing food too.
One of my favorite parts of the evening was when we tried different cocktails. My favorite was the cobbler.
I look forward to drinking more of these fabulous Madeira Wines in the future and learning more about the rich history it embodies.
