Westchester Magazine’s Wine & Food Festival To Honor Stew Leonard, Jr. at 3rd Annual Wine Collectors’ Dinner June 9th

Westchester Magazine’s 2023 Wine & Food Festival will honor Stew Leonard Jr., President and CEO of Stew Leonard’s, during its multiday extravaganza of wine, food, chefs, restaurants, food trucks, beer, and spirits, June 6-10, 2023.  

Leonard will receive the Ralph A. Martinelli Award for his contributions to the Wine and Food industry in our region at the 3rd Annual Wine Collectors’ Dinner on Friday, June 9. The event will take place from 6:30-10:00 p.m. at X2O Xaviars on the Hudson, 71 Water Grant Street, Yonkers, NY. A special live Wine Auction will be held, with proceeds to benefit Stew Leonard III Water Safety Foundation, which has raised $6 million dollars for water safety awareness and education, including lifeguard training and providing 10,000 free or low-cost swimming lessons to children every year.

Stew Jr. took over as president and CEO of the family-owned store in 1991 and grew the company from one retail food store in Norwalk, Connecticut to seven stores across Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey, as well as eight family-owned wine stores. Stew Leonard’s welcomes over 20 million visitors a year, employs over 2,500 Team Members and has annual sales exceeding $500 million.  

The 3rd Wine Collectors’ Dinner on June 9th is a unique opportunity for guests to share and taste rare vintages with each other — for the ultimate “immersion” experience! The night begins with a champagne reception as guests meet and mingle, followed by a sumptuous, one-of-a-kind five-course dinner prepared by Chef Peter X. Kelly. Kevin Zraly, renowned author and wine educator, will oversee the wines for the event which will feature the finest wines from the ultimate wine connoisseurs.

Throughout the dinner guests will share one bottle per person from their personal wine collection with other guests. Tickets are $185 per person (includes tax & gratuity.) A limited amount of tickets are available for this exclusive event.
