A few weeks ago, I joined a group of VIPs in NYC to American Cut to try wine from Rodney Strong Vineyards, winery based in Sonoma.
When guests arrived, there were so many delicious bites like little biscuits with cream cheese in them and mushrooms, paired up with bubbly rosé.
When we sat, there were many delicious appetizers that came out that we paired with Rodney Strong’s 2021 Sauvignon Blanc and 2021 Reserve Russian River Valley. Both were so delicious. We paired them with biscuits, bacon, Caesar salad, shrimp and tuna tar tot.
As we ate, we had wonderful conversations with Rodney Strong’s winemaker Justin Seidenfeld. He introduced us to the brand and the history behind the vineyard. Also, the philanthropic work they do for the area.
We learned more about Rodney Strong Wine Estates, a family-owned wine company that includes Rodney Strong Vineyards, Davis Bynum Wines, Knotty Vines, Upshot Wines, and ROWEN Wine Company. Rodney Strong sustainably farms eleven estate vineyards and produces wines from Sonoma County’s finest appellations. The winery was founded in 1959 by Sonoma County pioneer Rod Strong as the 13th bonded winery in the county. For over 30 years, RSWE has flourished under the leadership of the Klein Family, 4th generation California farmers.

Then came dinner where I had the NY Steak with three of Rodney Strong’s exquisite red wines included Symmetry 2018, 2021 Reservoir Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, and the coveted Alexander’s Crown.
After, we had bites of cheesecake and chocolate cake.
I loved the wines. They’re truly a treat and I’m looking forward to drinking more Rodney Strong in the future.
