Following years of research and development and launching just in time for summer, mompreneur-owned skincare brand Sun Coast has unveiled Sun Coast Salt Scrub, a new loose salt scrub skin exfoliant formulated to help brighten and promote more supple skin, boost hydration, and minimize fine lines and wrinkles.
Unlike other exfoliants, Sun Coast Salt Scrub can be used with or without added water due to its loose salt formula made with all-natural Himalayan pink salt, organic golden jojoba, vitamin E, and all-natural essential oils.
Whether used as a hand cleanser at the sink or as a full-body scrub in the bath or shower, its gentle formula promotes natural exfoliation, increases cellular turnover on the skin’s surface, reduces visible signs of aging, provides a steady release of all-day hydration, and results in visibly smoother, more radiant skin.
Sold in a 22 oz. jar with an MRSP of $48, Sun Coast Salt Scrub is available for purchase online at www.GetSunCoast.com, on Amazon, on Dillards.com, at select Dillard’s locations across the southern U.S., at select Belk stores starting in September, and at hotel spas across the U.S.
Sun Coast Salt Scrub comes in five exotic-yet-subtle scents inspired by the world’s beautiful sun-drenched coastlines, including:
- Bali Breeze – lemongrass and bergamot citrus
- Malabar Drift – sandalwood, juniper berry, frankincense, lavender, and cypress
- Moroccan Nights – grapefruit, frankincense, and lemon
- Santorini Spring – lavender and wild mint
- Wailea Wild – bergamot citrus, rose, sandalwood, and jasmine
Sun Coast visionary/CEO/president and mom to two young daughters and a son, Hollie Palmer was inspired to create the line after failing to find the right option among existing products.
“I couldn’t find a scrub product on the market that checked all the boxes, so I created my own,” said Hollie Palmer. “Our Sun Coast Salt Scrubs are a fresh, but purist, take on the growing category. And I’m not going to argue with Mother Nature…salt is the ‘OG’ scrub ingredient for a reason.”
“While the scrub market has expanded from salts to sugars, coffee grinds and other gritty elements, we use Himalayan salt for its tried-and-true benefits,” added Palmer. “Minerals within the salt help to detoxify the body, reduce inflammation, reduce muscle soreness, and improve circulation, skin texture, and the appearance of fine lines or wrinkles.”
Five percent of Sun Coast profits benefit Oceana, Inc., the nonprofit ocean conservation organization focused on influencing specific policy decisions to preserve and restore the world’s oceans and protect marine life, including sea turtles, sharks, dolphins, and other sea creatures.
“It was important to me and my family to have Sun Coast be a clean and socially conscious brand that we can be proud of,” said Palmer.
In addition to the physical benefits, Hollie espouses the mental and wellness benefits, too.
“Sun Coast is a state of mind, a fond memory of a vacation or spa-fresh moment. It’s the sense of well-being evoked by aromatherapy and the confident glow a salt scrub ritual provides as a therapeutic combination of skin and mind rejuvenation,” she said.
