Every year, I make New Years’ resolution goals but by the time I hit April, I generally forget them. Well, this year due to quarantine, I started to think about this a little bit earlier – what I wanted to achieve while I’m in lockdown. I decided on finances and weight loss was where I wanted to focus on. I thought these were reasonable places to start. I mean what else are you going to do when you’re shut down in your house?!
The one way I know that will help keep me accountable to them is by using my phone. I started to look into programs to help me achieve my goals.
The weight loss program I decided on was Noom. It has been an excellent way to jumpstart these weight loss goals. This award-winning weight- loss program was designed by psychologists and scientifically proven to create real, sustainable results. What I like about Noom is that it keeps you accountable by requiring you to log in to your food and creates new healthy behaviors. It’s like having a personal trainer in your back pocket—literally. Using Noom is not a diet, but it is a lifestyle and I can certainly see why.
New users enter the flow on Noom’s website, complete a brief survey, and then are presented with a personalized package (which is customized to their survey responses). Users are offered a 7 day trial for $.50, after which they are billed for the program in a lump sum payment. The most common plan is $129 for 4 months ($30/month) Right away they are introduced to their Goal Specialist and begin the daily process of reading articles, setting goals and learning, learning, learning. After the 7 day trial they are given access to a peer group and Group Coach.
2021 is the year I kiss the fat goodbye and I’m totally looking forward to the beach this summer. To Noom and brighter beginnings!
