Chocolate and whiskey?! Sounds like it’s up my alley!
Whiskeysmith Chocolate forges together the rich and velvety essence of chocolate with notes of vanilla and subtle spice found only in true oak-aged whiskey, blended to create a perfect pairing. It was awarded a Gold medal in the 2020 John Barleycorn Awards.
Whiskysmith is dedicated to creating bold spirits in their home state of Colorado, drawing inspiration from the world around them to create whiskeys that can be sipped on their own or add an incredible depth of flavor to any cocktail. Whiskeysmith’s line of flavored whiskeys are a great starting point to create unique individual experiences or to be enjoyed in a Chocolate Truffle Whiskey Sour.
Chocolate Truffle Whiskey Sour
Ingredients:
2 oz. Whiskeysmith Chocolate
0.5 oz. Amaretto Liqueur
0.75 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
0.25 oz. Maple Syrup
1 dash of Angostura Cocoa Bitters
1 egg white
Place all ingredients in a mixing tin, including the egg white, and shake first without ice.
Add ice and shake for an additional 20 seconds.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with a cherry, chocolate, and orange slice.
I love the froth from the egg white on this drink. The maple and the chocolate make this a delicious and unexpected treat.
Cheers XO
