Cali vibes arrive in Soho: west~bourne ☀️

Entrepreneur, hospitality vet, and LA native Camilla Marcus opens west~bourne, a vegetable-centric all-day café that brings a distinctly West Coast spirit to Sullivan Street in SoHo. With a focus on community and being a good neighbor through a partnership with Robin Hood Foundation, a portion of every purchase made at the restaurant will benefit The Door, an organization that supports local job training.

Open daily from 8am to
10pm, west~bourne’s menu highlights the best of what’s in season in homage to California’s bounty with dishes such as the  malibu waffle made with buckwheat, vanilla crème fraiche + organic blackberry INNA jamover the rainbowl with brown basmati rice, lentil falafel, sweet potatoes, broccoli, kale + pickled beets and the echo taco with onion-pepper-potato hash and American cheese on a crispy corn tortilla. Custom pies from Four & Twenty Blackbirds include apple pan and cali citrus flavors inspired by Camilla’s hometown nostalgia.

To drink, guests can enjoy a selection of artisanal, organic tea and coffee beverages as well as an array of local beer as well as wine, with an emphasis on California vineyards like Scribe Winery in Sonoma and Broc Cellars in Berkeley.

Every detail of west~bourne’s design has been thoughtfully sourced with California craftsmanship in mind and sustainability at its core as zero waste. Designed by LA-based firm Studio Mai, the 28-seat space features reclaimed wood finishings and custom-designed furniture to create an intimate, cozy vibe. Foda Studio created graphics inspired by the creative energy of 1960s Los Angeles, while notable illustrator Carly Kuhn, known as the Cartorialist, fashioned a one-of-a-kind mural on the restaurant’s facade  to capture the journey from the west to east coasts. Camilla is collaborating with a number of makers whose custom goods will be available for sale at the restaurant, including Industry Standard t-shirts, Hedley + Bennett aprons, Robert Siegel ceramics and more.

Open daily 8am to 10pm.
