Summer is almost over and I can tell you that I’m severely bummed out. TRAGIC. But before the summer ends, I decided to make a few nice, summer cocktails to forget that pool season will be over soon.
One of the spirits I decided to use was Alizé Apple, a new premium French vodka. It’s green, fruity and undeniably summer. I’ve been mixing around a little bit with it over the summer and just enjoyed the taste.
I decided it’s time to make an instagramable cocktail with this one… So I took note from Alizé’s NYC Mixologist, Jaime Rios who crafted the Golden Delicious Daiquiri.
Golden Delicious Daiquiri Created by NYC Mixologist Jaime Rios
2 oz. Alizé Apple
¾ oz. Fresh Lime Juice
1 oz. Pineapple Juice
Shake vigorously for about ten seconds and strain into martini glass. Garnish with mist of Angostura bitters and a fresh sage leaf.
So I tried to stay true to the cocktail but made a few substitutions. One, I didn’t have sage. Fortunately, I used canned pineapple juice with the fruit in it, which made it easier to garnish. Also, I’m out of Angostura bitters, SO I used the cherry ones instead.
It came out great regardless if my substitutions… I’m sure I will be drinking this one into the fall!

This looks divine! I’m an Absolut girl when I have vodka, but the French brands sounds great. I’ll try making these this weekend. Thanks for sharing!

This sounds delicious and refreshing. I enjoy the occasional mixed drink, although it’s hard to keep all the mixers on hand.
