On March 19th, I had the privilege to meet Greg Metze and Luis Gonzalez of Old Elk Distillery to do a tasting of their delicious spirits.
As I got to try these drams, Greg explained to me how he was brought on to make some of the smoothest spirits. There was no doubt about that after the tasting. I first had the Dry Town Gin. This gin is distilled using a unique 18-hour soak and vapor extraction process to capture the essence of its 10 botanical in natural form. I loved drinking this gin because it more it’s citrusy than juniper.
Next up, was the Old Elk Blended Straight Bourbon Whiskey. I enjoyed how smooth with the maple and almond flavor.
Next up was the Old Elk Straight Wheat Whiskey, it was much deeper with pineapple and with a smooth finish.
Lastly, I had their Nooku Bourbon Cream with real bourbon. This spirit is made with real rich dairy cream without any artificial coloring I can feel how natural this cream is, compared to the competitors.
Old Elk’s spirits are available in the market now. Click here to find your own bottle of Old Elk!
