Casamigos Mixology Event

On October 4th, I had the opportunity to mix up some Casamigos cocktails at Dos Caminos. There I learned how to create some of Casamigo’s top cocktails and more about the brand.

As soon as I arrived at Dos Caminos, I was greeted with a drink. I looked at the room and saw a long table with all the bartending tools of the trade, all lined up and ready to make cocktails. It all looked so lovely, and I couldn’t wait to try my hand making these cocktails.

After a few appetizers, our group was ready to mix some cocktails! Our Brand Ambassador was so knowledgeable about the brand. She told us how George Clooney and Rande Gerber came up with the brand. We all knew about of their success story but were amazed at the backstory of them really diving into the creation of the brand. George Clooney and Rande Gerber were villa neighbors in Mexico and bonded over their love of tequila, therefore, they tried many different brands of tequila taking careful note of what they liked and disliked from each to create Casamigos. Well, they did a great job because I am hooked.

Then it was time to make cocktails! We first made this amazing blackberry cocktail, the Blackberry Ginger Smash, which was my personal favorite.
